PAYMENTS:
Initial:
When making a booking, please note that a 25% retainer is due and is non-refundable. The remaining balance doesn't need to be paid until the cover is approved. The final files will only be sent once payment is complete.
Failure to pay your deposit means your date is not secured and we we retain the right to fill that slot.
Final Payment:
You must make final payments within 72 hours of approving the final cover file. Failing to meet the deadline incurs a a minor fee. However, If you give Disturbed Valkyrie Designs prior notice of your delay, there won't be any additional charges.
Rush Orders:
Although Disturbed Valkyrie Designs does accept rush orders, the final decision on whether they can be accommodated rests with them. Additional fees apply for rush orders: $50 for orders needed within a week, and $100 for those required within a day.
Please note: rush orders are not available for branding packages.
PREMADE COVERS:
All sales of pre-made items are final. Once the invoice is paid, no refunds or exchanges will be allowed. Payment must be made within 24 hours of receiving the invoice; otherwise, the item will be relisted.
For alterations to pre-made covers, Disturbed Valkyrie Designs asks for a fulfillment time of 1-2 weeks.
ALTERNATIONS:
Three significant alterations are offered by Disturbed Valkyrie Designs during the design process, as stated per contract.
It involves changing images, themes, and increasing the size of elements. Changing the font, color, or title during the process is not seen as a revision.
Changes After Approval:
The Client understands that only Disturbed Valkyrie Designs has the authority to modify the cover, format, and/or branding. The Client agrees that any changes requested after approval or after the final files have been delivered may incur additional charges. Alterations to the final files will start at $50 and may increase based on the number of files or changes required.
ADDITIONAL FILES:
Each package comes with ONE distributor print file, for example—KDP. Additional files for Ingram, Bookvault, or 48H books or any other printer will be charged additionally.
AI USAGE:
Disturbed Valkyrie Designs does not use AI-generated imagery. Even though there are occasional mistakes and reputable websites neglect to appropriately tag AI, we are committed to ensuring such mistakes do not happen. If an AI-generated image is mistakenly included in a design, we will immediately remove it from the cover/design service at no extra cost. While human error is possible, we are firmly opposed to the use of AI and will correct any issues swiftly.
CANCELLATION:
In the event of a cancellation, no further expenses will be owed. However, there will be no refunds on retainers in such event.
OWNERSHIP:
Disturbed Valkyrie Designs retains full ownership of all designs. The design concepts, including layout, image style, colors, placement, and fonts, cannot be recreated or modified by anyone else.
The Client acknowledges that only Disturbed Valkyrie Designs is authorized to make changes to the design. If the Client wishes to collaborate with another designer for completing a book series, written permission from Disturbed Valkyrie Designs is required.
Disturbed Valkyrie Designs reserves the right to use Client materials in its offline and online portfolios for promotional purposes.
LICENSE:
The price of the cover design includes a standard license for the images, which covers up to 500,000 units. If the book exceeds 500,000 print copies, or if the Client wishes to use the book cover design or images on merchandise, an extended license must be purchased from the designer.
ATTRIBUTION:
Disturbed Valkyrie Designs requires credit to be included in the Client’s book, either on the cover or on the copyright page inside.

CONFIDENTIALITY:
All client and designer’s personal information is considered confidential.
DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER & CHANGES TO TERMS OF SERVICE:
By making any payment for a package or service from Disturbed Valkyrie Designs, the Client agrees not to post any slanderous or harmful comments on social media or third-party platforms that could negatively impact the Designer's business. Any concerns should be addressed directly with Disturbed Valkyrie Designs to be resolved. Under The Defamation Act of 2013, posts on social media or third-party platforms may be subject to legal action and potential fines.
You can review the latest version of the Terms of Service at any time on this page. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to update, modify, or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates on our website. It is the Client’s responsibility to periodically check for changes. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
ACCEPTION OF TERMS:
Both the Client and Disturbed Valkyrie Designs will acknowledge acceptance of these terms. By acknowledging this contract, the Client agrees to hold Disturbed Valkyrie Designs entirely free from any liability, including financial.
